This is an older condominium in Tacoma with a very livable layout and views of mountains and the sound. The owners wanted to update their kitchen style and materials, but mostly wanted to improve function. Cooking in this space was difficult for two people. By moving the peninsula two feet out into the large dining area, removing the drop ceiling, short wall and beam, moving the range away from the refrigerator and the sink to the peninsula, the space became much more user friendly.
They are very happy with their choice of Quartz countertops and Shaker cabinetry. More storage space and more counter space make cooking in their new kitchen enjoyable.
